CRC for Forestry offers a mix of fully-funded
Masters and PhD scholarships worth at least $26,140 (2008 rates)
tax-free per year (eligibility normally restricted to Australian
and New Zealand citizens) and top-up scholarships (normally $6,133
per year, for 2008), plus research funding to support all CRC
scholarships, and some research funding to support other relevant
PhD, Masters and Honours projects. These scholarships are allocated
to specific research projects at particular universities; check
with the relevant research programme manager and university contact
below. Scholarship rates for 2009 are expected to increase, and
will be released in February 2009.
To
apply for a CRC for Forestry PhD scholarship complete an
application for an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) at the
relevant partner university and tick the relevant box or include a
cover note to indicate you are applying for a CRC for Forestry
scholarship.

Forestry CRCs have an outstanding track
record:
- 40 PhD and MSc graduates in the last five years,
- Strong industry support in projects and funding,
- 50 per cent of forestry CRC graduates are now employed in the
forest industries or in forest research.
