CRC's annual science meeting and third-year review a great
success
The
CRC for Forestry underwent its third-year review in late 2008
coinciding with a very successful Annual Science Meeting. In this
article, Gordon Duff introduces the review panel, explains the
review process and is proud to report how positively the panel
viewed our research, relationships and management.

Skogforsk scientists visit from Sweden
During March, the
managing and research directors of Skogforsk—the forestry
research institute of Sweden—visited researchers from the CRC
for Forestry to learn more about forest research in Australia,
particularly in the areas of tree breeding, silviculture and forest
operations.

Brad deserves a medal ... and gets one!
'Trees in the the landscape' Program
Manager Brad Potts has been with the CRC since it began in 1991.
His prolific and cutting-edge research on the evolutionary biology
and breeding of eucalypts has been recognised with the awarding of
the 2008 Clarke Medal for research in natural sciences. Professor
Potts joins such distinguished past winners as Sir Richard Owen and
Sir Douglas Mawson.
