Project 1.1 asks the question: "what have we got and what state
is it in?"
The research aims to deliver new techniques and technologies for
evaluating soil and site characteristics; for remotely sensing
forest health, condition and carrying out stand inventory. This
will be done in three subproject areas:
- 1.1.1 Site evaluation
- 1.1.2 Monitoring of forest condition with multi-spectral and
hyper-spectral remote-sensing
- 1.1.3 Improved forest inventory using high resolution airborne
remote sensing
The leader of Project 1.1 is Dr Neil Sims (Ensis).
