Julianne O’Reilly-Wapstra invited to speak at BES Symposium on Plant Defences

Julianne O’Reilly-Wapstra (UTAS) was invited by the British Ecological Society to attend and speak at a themed Symposium entitled ‘ The Integrative Role of Plant Secondary Metabolites in Ecological Systems’ to be held at The University of Sussex in the south of England, 12th -14th April, 2010. Julianne’s talk, co-authored with Brad Potts, will use Eucalyptus globulus as a model system to cover recent developments on topics such as genetically-based plant resistance to herbivores, selection on resistant traits by herbivores, inheritance of resistant traits and community consequences of genetically-based resistance.
